RUTHERFORD CLEAN UP:Pack 168 Scouts helped our community by cleaning up weeds and trash around the Williams Center then planting a tree outside of Borough Hall Saturday morning.But inspired to make a difference in the amount of cigarette butts in the William Center Plaza, our Scouts didn’t stop there! They worked together to draft a letter, proposing the addition of a cigarette receptacle and the Rutherford Green Team has invited our Scouts to attend their May 9th committee meeting. Wow!
I’m impressed with these kids: Dhruv, Calder, Presley, Amber, Maddy, Ethan, Teddy and encourage ALL of our Scouts and families to stand behind this initiative!

Pack 168 Scouts;

  • please RSVP your attendance to the May 9 meeting via email: cubmaster
  • dress in uniform
  • arrive 6:30pm Borough Hall main floor to review your proposal before speaking to the Green Team at 7:00pm. (est end time 7:30pm)

FAMILY SCOUTING:
Girls will be able to join the Cub Scout program this September. NNJBSA is holding a meeting to review the program and facts Tuesday, May 1 at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck starting at 7:30pm. A second meeting will be scheduled Tuesday, May 8, Mount Carmel Parish Center in Bayonne at 7:30pm. All cub leaders and all parents are invited to find out about the new program.
In addition, a link will be posted on our Pack 168 website related to these changes. We are interested in talking with all parents, identifying girls who wish to join our Pack and moving forward on training and planning. Please contact either Walter Carroll walter.carroll or myself at Cubmaster.
This decision does not preclude a girl from choosing to do both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.

CONGRATULATIONS:
